About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Pending state license accepted Certifications: One of the following: CBSPD or CRCST (Through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) Must-Have: - Trauma I experience and at least 2 years of experience preferred for first-time travelers. - CensiTrac instrument tracking strongly preferred. - Biological indicators and sterilization monitoring experience required. Description: This position requires functioning as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff. Responsibilities include preparing equipment and supplies for use, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, assembling case carts and trays, and performing direct patient care as needed. The role involves working with complex tray configurations across various surgical services, including ophthalmology, neurosurgery, ENT, trauma, transplant, cardiac, orthopedic, labor and delivery, and robotic cases. This position is essential in supporting a level 1 trauma center. No weekend requirements are expected for this role. Attendance and punctuality are critical, as two or more attendance issues within the contract duration will be considered excessive. Travelers must comply with facility policies, including restrictions on personal electronic devices while on shift. All travelers will float within their scope of care and the facility's needs.
