Senior Controller

AbouttheRole:

AsaCBRESenior Controlleryouwillmanagealargeteam thatisresponsiblefor providingoversightofthe financial performance of clients.

ThisjobispartoftheControllingjobfunction.TheyareresponsiblefortheManagementoftheorganization'sfinancial controls and the preparation of financial reports for management and shareholders.

WhatYou’llDo:

• Support our global delivery model. This includes providing resources and guidance to indirect team members for client delivery

• Provide global support on processes and lead communications between BSO team and internal stakeholders

• Provideformalsupervisiontoemployees.Monitorthetraininganddevelopmentofstaff.Conductperformance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

• Coordinateandmanagetheteam'sdailyactivities.Establishworkschedules,assigntasks,andcross-trainstaff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

• Createapositivecustomerexperiencebyopeningandmaintainingconstructiveandreliablelinesof communication.Reviewitemsbeinghandledbyjuniorteammembers.Coachandmentorasneeded.

• Prepareperiodiccomplexfinancialstatementsandapproveauditandtaxpreparation documents.

• Pointofcontactfortheimplementationandmaintenanceoftheaccountingandreportingsystems,providing technical expertise.

• Assistexecutivemanagementwiththeimplementationofstrategicdepartmentandcorporate initiatives.

• Reviewandverifyfinancialinformationincludingmonthly,quarterly,andannualfinancialstatementspriorto submittal to large and high-profile clients.

• Troubleshootandresolvecomplexissuesandensureinternalandexternalcustomerrequestsarehandled timely, accurately, and with a focus on customer service.

• Monitorfinancialperformanceandprovideaforward-lookingviewandstrategicadvicetotheexecutive managementteam.

• Applyabroadknowledgeofthebusiness,owndiscipline,andhowowndisciplineintegrateswithothersto achieve team and departmental objectives.

• LeadbyexampleandmodelbehavioursthatareconsistentwithCBRERISEvalues.Influenceotherstoadopta different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

• Identifyandsolvetechnicalandoperationalproblemsof complexity.

• Understandandrecognizethebroaderimpactacrossthe department.

• Improveandchangeexistingmethods,processes,andstandardswithin thejob discipline.

WhatYou’llNeed:

• Bachelor'sDegreepreferredwith5-8yearsofrelevantexperience.Inlieuofadegree,acombinationof experience and education will be considered.

• Experienceintheareasofstaffing,selection,training,development,coaching,mentoring,measuring,appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

• Abilitytoleadtheexchangeofsensitive,complicated,anddifficultinformation,conveyperformance expectations, and handle problems.

• Leadershipskillstomotivatetheteamtoachievebroadoperationaltargetswithimpactsonownjobdiscipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.

• In-depthknowledgeofMicrosoftOfficeproducts. ExamplesincludeWord,Excel,Outlook,etc.

• Extensiveorganizationalskillsandanadvancedinquisitive mindset.

• Intermediatemathskills. Abilitytocalculatecomplicatedfiguressuchaspercentages,fractions,andother financial-related calculations.
