Job Title: General Handyman / Assembler
Job Description

This role supports the launch of a new facility by performing hands-on assembly, installation, and general setup activities throughout the site. You will build shelving, assemble workstations, move tools and equipment, and help prepare the production floor in a fast-paced, startup-style environment. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys physical work, and takes pride in creating a safe, well-organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install shelving units throughout the facility to support storage and production needs.
• Build and set up workstations and production tables according to layout and safety requirements.
• Move, position, and organize tooling and equipment as directed to support facility setup.
• Assist with taping and marking production lines, walkways, and safety zones on the floor.
• Support general facility setup tasks as the site becomes operational, adapting to evolving needs.
• Use basic hand tools safely and correctly for assembly and installation tasks.
• Perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area while contributing to an extremely clean manufacturing environment.
• Arrive on time, work consistently, and demonstrate strong reliability during the setup phase.
• Collaborate with team members and follow instructions to complete setup activities efficiently.
• Support facilities maintenance-related tasks as needed during the initial launch period.

• Proven assembly experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or trades environments.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools, including screwdrivers and related equipment.
• Comfort with physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Hands-on, mechanically inclined approach to problem-solving and assembly work.
• Strong work ethic with a high level of reliability, punctuality, and consistency.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of setup tasks as needs evolve.

• Interest in supporting the launch of a new facility and contributing to its long-term success.
• Experience with facilities maintenance or general handyman work.
• Comfort working in a startup-style environment where priorities can shift.
• No additional certifications required for this role.

Work Environment

You will work in an extremely clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility designed for comfort and efficiency. The role follows a first-shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The environment is hands-on and physical, requiring regular lifting, bending, and standing, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. You will have access to a break room and a recreation center, and you will participate in a collaborative, fast-paced setup phase as the facility prepares for full manufacturing operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Byhalia, MS.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
