Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university
• Current Colorado Special Service Provider license—School Social Worker (birth through age 21)
• Previous experience working within K-12 school settings is required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams
• Ability to manage confidential case files and sensitive student information
• Willingness to undergo background check and fingerprinting to meet credentialing requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver mental health services to students, supporting their academic achievement and personal well-being
• Address attendance, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges, connecting students with appropriate support resources
• Assess student needs to determine necessary counseling or intervention
• Collaborate frequently with parents, teachers, and district staff to create unified plans of support
• Maintain thorough records, track progress, and identify recurring student issues
• Provide counseling, design treatment plans, and facilitate workshops as needed
• Refer students to external agencies for support with economic, emotional, or physical challenges
• Remain committed to the full school-year contract, ensuring consistent student support from July to May

This assignment covers a variety of age groups, from early childhood through high school, with placements determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Each school assignment is unique and offers the chance to build meaningful connections and positive outcomes within the student community.
