Litigation Paralegal

Miami, Florida | Fully In-Office

Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for its client's Miami office.

The firm's practice areas include Trust & Estates, estate litigation, probate, and guardianship . While Trust & Estates and estate litigation experience is highly relevant, the firm is open to considering strong litigation paralegals from other practice areas , recognizing that candidates with specialized estate experience can be more difficult to find.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal.
• Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
• Manage case files, calendars, deadlines, and litigation databases.
• Coordinate and assist with document production, review, and organization.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigations.
• Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness files, and deposition summaries.
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial logistics.
• Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third-party vendors.
• Assist with probate, guardianship, and trust administration matters as needed.
• Prepare estate planning and probate-related documents when applicable.
• Perform electronic filing in both state and federal courts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment.
• Trust & Estates, probate, guardianship, or estate litigation experience is preferred but not required .
• Strong litigation experience with the ability to manage matters from inception through trial.
• Knowledge of Florida state and federal court rules and filing procedures.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and hit the ground running .
• Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) certification or paralegal certificate is a plus but not required.
