Legal Assistant

Our law firm is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish), motivated, organized, and dependable Legal Assistant to join our team and assist with Personal Injury and/or Workers’ Compensation cases. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with clients in both English and Spanish, have excellent organizational skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced law office. Prior experience in Personal Injury and/or Workers’ Compensation is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities Communicate with clients in English and Spanish by phone, email, text, and in person Assist attorneys and paralegals with the day-to-day handling of Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation cases Provide clients with case updates and assist with routine questions Request, organize, and maintain medical records and medical bills Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, defense counsel, and other parties Assist with preparing and organizing legal documents, correspondence, forms, and case files Track medical treatment, appointments, work status, lost wages, and other case-related information Assist with settlement demands and settlement documentation Assist with subpoenas and obtaining employment, wage, and other records Maintain accurate case calendars, deadlines, and follow-up tasks Follow up with insurance companies, medical providers, clients, and other parties Scan, upload, organize, and maintain electronic case files Assist attorneys and paralegals with hearings, depositions, mediations, and other case-related matters Perform general administrative and legal support duties as needed Qualifications Fluent in both English and Spanish – REQUIRED Prior legal office experience preferred Personal Injury or Workers’ Compensation experience is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases and deadlines Professional, patient, and compassionate when communicating with clients Comfortable communicating with clients who may be injured, frustrated, or dealing with difficult circumstances Ability to work independently while also being a team player Proficiency with computers, email, Microsoft Office, and electronic file systems Reliable, punctual, and willing to take initiative What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is bilingual, reliable, hardworking, organized, and willing to take ownership of their work.
