Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' mood disorder symptoms, including intensity, frequency, and duration.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to clients’ unique needs, preferences, and goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to maximize treatment effectiveness.

• Educate and support clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on their evolving needs.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care coordination.

• Stay current on research and best practices related to mood disorders to enhance treatment methodologies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to promote collaborative care and professional growth.

• Engage in advocacy efforts to reduce stigma around mental health and champion the needs of your clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on clients grappling with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding individuals through their struggles, enabling them to develop healthier coping mechanisms and achieve improved mental well-being. You may also work with other vulnerable populations, including the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, addressing their unique challenges and facilitating holistic treatment approaches.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Demonstrated ability to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients through exceptional communication skills.

• Possession of empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients and their experiences.
