Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Construction Controller to join their team.This vital role places you at the heart of financial control. You'll collaborate with project teams, manage budgets, analyze costs, and implement strategies to ensure projects stay on track financially. Responsibilities:

Financial Maestro: Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
Budgeting Guru: Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate budgets and proactively monitor and update them to reflect project changes.
Cost Control Champion: Implement strategies to optimize project profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Financial Analyst Extraordinaire: Analyze financial data, prepare insightful reports, and communicate key metrics to stakeholders.
Compliance Champion: Ensure adherence to accounting standards and mitigate financial risks to protect project investments.
Vendor Partner: Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and review invoices for accuracy and approval.
Team Player: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (development, construction, finance) throughout the project lifecycle.
Process Improvement Pro: Drive continuous improvement in financial management practices and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA a plus).
Minimum 5 years of accounting/finance experience with 2+ years in real estate development or construction.
Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost control techniques.
Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Detail-oriented with a knack for problem-solving and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems.
