What You'll Do

As a Packaging Machine Operator, you'll help keep production running safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with equipment, solving problems, and being part of a dependable production team.

Responsibilities include:

• Set up, tear down, and complete equipment changeovers for production runs
• Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently while meeting production goals
• Verify product and packaging specifications before each production run
• Monitor equipment performance and make minor mechanical adjustments as needed
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
• Communicate with production team members to help keep the line running smoothly
• Record equipment downtime and assist with line changeovers
• Report major equipment concerns to supervisors promptly
• Assist in other production areas as needed to support workflow
• Follow company safety policies, GMPs, SQF procedures, and standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work independently while contributing positively to the production team

Work Environment

This position is in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and requires:

• Standing and walking for most of the shift
• Frequently lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds
• Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds
• Rarely lifting up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching
• Occasional overhead reaching
• Occasional pushing and pulling up to 60 pounds
