Clinical NurseThe Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing care for patients in the perioperative setting. This role involves utilizing the nursing process, which includes assessment, formulation of nursing diagnoses, planning interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes. The Operating Room clinical nurse will circulate in various specialty areas, including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental. Acquiring experience in scrubbing is highly encouraged. Flexibility in working varied hours, including being on call and preparing for emergency cases on short notice, is required.QualificationsValid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice in any state of the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association within six (6) months of hire.NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) completion within six (6) months of hire.Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) by the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI) within one (1) year of hire.Trauma Nurse Core Courses (TNCC) within two (2) years of hire.EducationAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.ExperienceMinimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing and/or operating room practical experience required.Shift InformationThis position requires 10-hour shifts, typically from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with four shifts per week.
