Clinical NurseJob Title: Clinical NurseProfession: NursingSpecialty: Operating RoomDuration: 13 weeksShift: 10-hour shiftsHours per Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PMExperience: Minimum of 3 yearsLicense: Valid RN license from any state of residenceCertifications:Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within six (6) months of hireNational Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within six (6) months of hireCertified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) within one (1) year of hireTrauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within two (2) years of hireMust-Have:Associate or Bachelor's degree in NursingTwo (2) years of clinical nurse and/or operating room practical experienceDescription: The Clinical Nurse provides care for the perioperative patient. The nursing process includes assessment, formulation of nursing diagnoses, planning interventions, and evaluation of interventions based on patient outcomes. The Operating Room clinical nurse is expected to circulate in all specialty areas. These specialty areas may include Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental. Obtaining scrubbing experience is highly encouraged.
