Job Description
The Cook / Chef plays a vital role in a small kitchen team, responsible for preparing and cooking meals with high standards of quality and presentation. This position involves working daily shifts, including regular weekends, using standard and modern kitchen equipment. The role offers opportunities for promotion within the culinary team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to menu specifications
- Manage inventory to ensure availability of ingredients
- Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards
- Perform quality control of dishes before service
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members
- Present food attractively for service
Required Qualifications
- Valid Food Handlers certification
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food preparation
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Proficient knife skills
- Effective time management
- Strong teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
