Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist – Tampa, Florida Key Details Start date: 06/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week (8‑hour days) Travel assignment – compensation based on 8‑hour shift Location: Facility in Tampa, Florida Responsibilities Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures. Assist physicians by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field. Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details. Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions. Ensure radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self. Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment. Manage and restock procedural supplies. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members for seamless patient care. Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols. Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned to support IR lab operations. Required Qualifications Minimum one year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in accordance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC). Valid Radiologic Technologist license in the state of employment. Additional certifications: PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC. Other relevant certifications or licenses may be required. Required Skills Critical thinking and service excellence. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English. Basic PC skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Professional attitude and teamwork with diverse personnel. Fine motor skills to assist with procedures and use department equipment. Ability to work under pressure, manage irregular schedules, and maintain concentration.
