Job Title: Sr. Associate/Counsel/Non-Equity Partner Department/Group: Real Estate Reports to: Department Head FLSA Type: Exempt Hours: 40 hours plus; 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Office Attendance: Hybrid; Mandatory 3 days in office per week inclusive of Monday; schedule and additional days in office as required by the firm, Department Head or based on client needs. Years of Experience: 10+ years Compensation: $200 - $315k depending on experience and potential portable business. JOB SUMMARY We are seeking to add a partner level Real Estate attorney to join our growing Real Estate group. The Non-Equity Partner must have extensive experience in lease negotiations in the office and retail space, and other commercial properties. This role will be located in our New York office. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial lease agreements for office, retail, and other commercial properties Represent landlords and tenants in lease negotiations, ensuring favorable terms while mitigating legal and financial risks. Support acquisitions, sales, and financing transactions by reviewing existing leases and evaluating tenant-related risks. Provide strategic legal guidance to developers, property owners, and corporate tenants throughout all phases of commercial leasing Excellent writing, advocacy, strategic thinking and organization skills to serve as a trusted advisor to clients. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York. 10 plus years of real estate practice experience, with a strong background in lease negotiations. Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in legal research and case management software. Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. WORK ENVIRONMENT In performing the duties here in the employee is exposed to the below work environment conditions: A fast-paced environment determined by projects to be completed. Continual periods where the employee is expected to sit for a long period of time when necessary. This position is a hybrid position based out of our New York office, with 3 days onsite (Monday is a mandatory onsite day).
