Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Ensure the safety and comfort of both mother and baby while adhering to clinical standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess maternal and fetal conditions to develop and implement appropriate care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, contractions, and fetal heart rates to detect any complications.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery procedures, including C-sections.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with minimum two years of labor and delivery experience.
• Possess certifications including NRP, AWHONN or C-EFM, FHM, and OB surgical recovery (C-section) preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to perform PP and MB procedures with competence.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be willing to work night shifts on a 4x12 schedule, with on-call responsibilities.
