Responsibilities include:

• Operating and maintaining the laser machine in the facility
• Loading and unloading of material on the laser tables
• Wear properly fitted personal protective equipment such as gloves, face shields, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes
• Receive work order; obtain and organize materials, ensure that all materials being used are accurate and in compliance with specifications and quality control
• Safely operate equipment such as cranes, Hilo's, grinders, etc.
• Maintain, support, and follow all Scion steel standards as specified within the quality management system
• Identify proper gauge and type of steel to be cut
• Examine cuts to verify accuracy and making adjustments to the Laser as needed.
• Carry out work orders within a realistic timeline ensuring that deadlines are met

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years hands-on experience operating a Laser machine in a steel fabrication facility.
• Ability to accurately measure, read cut lists, blueprints, and sketches
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer and caliper. xhyhwjd
• Ability to accurately track inventory

Schedule:

• 8-10 hour shift
• Morning Shift: 6:00am – 4:30pm Evening shift: 4:00pm – 2:30am
• Monday to Friday, sometimes Saturday.

• Warren, MI 48089: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: One location

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40-56 per week
