Lead Software Engineer - Private Cloud

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We are looking for proficiency in Java, GoLang, or equivalent modern programming languages.
• We require experience with DevOps and SRE principles.
• We need strong experience in private or public cloud environments.
• We expect a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and APIs.
• We value demonstrated experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, including setting expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We require a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
• We need proficiency across all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• We expect advanced knowledge of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

• We execute creative software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, using approaches that go beyond routine methods.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation.
• We identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and fit within existing systems and information architecture.
• We coach engineers on safe, compliant adoption of responsible AI practices within delivery workflows.
• We help establish consistent validation standards, including secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reuse of effective patterns across the team.
