InStrategy Group , a national recruitment and consulting firm dedicated exclusively to serving the insurance industry is seeking to fill a Personal Lines & Small Commercial Producer role for a successful and tenured insurance agency in Cleveland, OH.

Role:

Outside/Inside Personal and Commercial Lines sales position exclusively to the LGBTQ+ community . Responsible for driving new business sales and retention for home, auto and small business clients. Manage client relationships, drive organic growth, cross-sell accounts and network throughout Cleveland and Columbus marketplace.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve annualized new business sales goals targeting the LGBTQ+ community for personal and commercial lines products.
\n
• Meet new business activity and quality appointment goals.
\n
• Use Agency’s resources to research prospects and develop customized messaging for prospects.
\n
• Understand and explain the competitive differentiation to clients and prospects of the only insurance Agency exclusively dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community.
\n
• Develop sales business plan and use effective prospecting strategies. Overcome sales obstacles on a prospect-specific basis.
\n
• Build client and prospect pipeline. Develop cross-selling strategies for existing clients.
\n
• Collaborate with carrier underwriters to obtain quotes and finalize policy and pricing terms.
\n
• Engage in meetings on preparing for first appointments and closing and retaining business.
\n
• Use the Agency’s contact management and sales automation resource tools to support sales processes.
\n
• Work with account management team on significant Account Management services for clients.
\n
• Demonstrate strong industry knowledge (coverage, terms, conditions, and competitive solutions)
\n
• Attend key industry seminars, trade shows, and networking events.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Must hold a valid OH insurance Property & Casualty insurance license.
\n
• 5+ years of sales experience in an insurance agency with proven track record of sales success.
\n

·      Must have a valid OH drive license and have reliable transportation.

·      Must currently reside in OH – no relocation considerations .

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• College degree is NOT required.
\n
• Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance.
\n
• Self-starter mentality, personable, highly motivated, and goal oriented. Driven to achieve individual sales goals.

• Strong time management and organization skills.
\n
• Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
\n
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
\n
• Consultative, positive, and resourceful approach to dealing with prospects, clients, and associates.
\n
• Strong analytical skills to quickly assess client’s needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
\n
• Excellent listening skills with strong customer focus.
\n
• Proficient in using insurance software/CRS systems and familiar with AMS360.
\n

Work Environment :

·      Work both in office and remote setting.

·      Role will require in-state travel to meet clients and attend networking events.

·      You will work and collaborate with others to support the serving and handling of client business.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a strong sale-oriented insurance professional who takes ownership of results and client experience . This individual should be dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative independent-agency environment.

Demonstrated work ethic, professionalism, accountability, and an exceptional customer-service and sale orientation are essential.

The ability to build strong relationships with clients, teammates, carrier partners and earn their trust is particularly important in this role.

Compensation: Draw + Commission + Benefits (Health Insurance & Paid Time Off)

This position offers a competitive compensation package consisting of a base draw against earned commissions, providing a degree of income stability while rewarding individual sales performance.

·        Base Draw : $55,000 – 100,000 ( depends on prior experience ) annually, paid in accordance with the company's regular payroll schedule.

·        Commission : Performance-based commissions earned on new business and, where applicable, renewal business, in accordance with the company's commission schedule.

·        Earning Potential : Total compensation is directly tied to sales production, with uncapped earning potential for successful performers.

·        Compensation Review : Compensation structure and performance expectations will be reviewed periodically with management.
