Your Role on the Team

Position Summary: Provides advanced technical expertise in the most complex technical areas in a major division of the lab. Develops procedures and test criteria, collects and extrapolates data, assists in lab research and design efforts, and oversees quality assurance and performance improvement activities in a specialized area of the lab. Instructs other lab personnel in new procedures, participates in teaching and serves as a technical resource for the division.

Required Qualifications: Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties. Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job. Must be willing to work variable shifts and overtime as required. Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed. Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms. Four or more years applicable experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Current CA CLS License. Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
