As the Business Development Director, you will lead and develop large, complex industrial gas projects for Linde Gases US, partnering with commercial, engineering, and operations teams to deliver competitive, high-impact solutions across oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, CO2, and other applications. This role combines deep technical expertise and strong commercial acumen to shape winning project strategies, engage directly with customers, and drive investment decisions that fuel growth.What you will enjoy doing*
- You will lead a portfolio of large, complex industrial gas projects for Linde Gases US across multiple product lines
- Partner with regional business teams to scope and develop competitive solutions for customers
- Serve as a subject matter expert, engaging directly with customers and project stakeholders
- Drive techno-commercial solution development with engineering and business teams
- further, you will collaborate with engineering to define scope and ensure competitive capital cost estimates
- Lead project economics, risk assessments, and support investment and plant selection decisions
- Also, you will support customer contract development to align scope, economics, and commitments
- Represent projects in internal capital reviews and maintain alignment across regional, engineering, and operations teams
What makes you great
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering; an MBA is a plus
- And you bring a minimum of ten years of relevant technical and commercial experience
- Demonstrate high-level technical skills combined with commercial acumen to engage senior management
- Lead development and execution of complex investments with multi-functional teams
- Possess knowledge of air separation, HyCO, and related customer processes
- Confidently present to and interact with executive-level leadership
- You can influence positively and build strategic relationships internally and externally
- Lead and motivate teams with strong leadership presence and willingness to travel up to twenty-five percent
