Location: Traverse City, MI (Pella Windows & Doors Experience Center)
Compensation: $52,000 base salary ($25 per hour)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Full Benefits Package

Spend your days welcoming and engaging Pella Windows and Doors walk-in customers at our state-of-the-art Traverse City Experience Center (aka customer product showroom). Our customers include homeowners, builders, contractors, and remodelers from the surrounding Grand Traverse area. Through building quick rapport, you will identify customer needs and apply your learned knowledge of Pella product and business processes to solve issues and direct next steps. Your ultimate goal is to provide a great experience for return customers and inspire new business relationships, while completing some administrative support tasks for the sales team in between customer visits. New business leads are handed off to Pella sales representatives to complete the sales cycle.

What You'll Do

1. Greeting current and prospective customers in our showroom in Traverse City, either through walk-ins or arrangement with our outside sales reps.
2. Asking questions to learn the reason for their visit and providing solutions for their needs. This could be helping a customer connect with our service department to replace a broken part, to walking a customer through our physical and digital displays to explore how Pella products can meet their project needs and desires.
3. When the showroom is quiet, assisting with various sales tasks including scheduling product deliveries, preparing estimates for product orders, and service coordination.
4. Coordinating the basic daily maintenance and operation of the showroom facility.
5. Assisting our sales team in planning and executing customer events in our Pella Experience Center.
6. Occasional phone, email, and social media outreach to prospective home builders and contractors is a bonus opportunity for interested candidates.

• Appreciate some down-time in your schedule. Easily identify work to be done and take initiative to complete.
• Self-sufficiency in operating from a showroom environment where you may be the only employee in the office at times.
• Proficiency in technology including MS Outlook, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as Salesforce, and other web-based programs. Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• 2+ years in a customer service, administrative, or sales role

SCHEDULE: Since you are the core employee on-staff at the Experience Center during opening hours, you must be able to consistently work Tuesday through Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am-2:00pm. You will have 1 Saturday off per month.
