About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Pediatrics. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the department's research activities. This includes fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment, securing external funding, and ensuring the successful conduct of research that aligns with the department's mission and goals. The Vice Chair of Research will also be involved in mentoring faculty and trainees, as well as promoting the dissemination of research findings. Applicants for the Vice Chair of Research position should have a Ph.D. or M.D. with a strong research background in a relevant field. A proven track record of successful research funding and a history of impactful publications are essential. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively in a team, and a commitment to the education and training of the next generation of researchers. Experience in a leadership or administrative role within an academic or research setting is highly desirable.
