Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced dermatology office. The ideal candidate will have experience in family medicine, dermatology, or similar fast-paced medical settings. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations within the office.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and manage incoming calls professionally.

• Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently.

• Manage prior authorizations for medical procedures.

• Assist in rooming patients and preparing them for consultations.

• Maintain accurate data entry of patient information.

• Support clerical and insurance-related tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• Strong customer service skills.

• Proficiency in data entry and managing patient information.

• Experience in a busy dermatology or medical office setting.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), especially EPIC, is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience is required.

• Experience in dermatology is preferred.

Work Environment

The position is based in a dermatology office with a schedule requiring flexibility between 7:45 AM and 5:00 PM. This is a temporary-to-hire role. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring a personable and adaptable personality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
