About the Opportunity
About Face Dental Medi Spa is seeking a skilled, dependable, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our growing specialty dental practice in Staten Island, New York.
Our practice provides personalized care in prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, dental implants, TMJ-related treatment, and aesthetic dental services.
We are looking for a versatile professional who enjoys hands-on clinical work, values exceptional patient care, and is comfortable assisting with front-desk responsibilities when needed.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Chairside Assistance
• Provide chairside assistance during prosthodontic, restorative, implant-related, and other dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment before appointments.
• Assist with dental radiographs, including X-rays, as permitted by New York State law and practice protocols.
• Support digital impressions, intraoral scanning, clinical photography, and dental laboratory workflows.
• Assist with crowns, bridges, dentures, dental appliances, and other prosthodontic procedures.
• Maintain proper sterilization, disinfection, infection-control, and OSHA safety procedures.
• Monitor clinical supplies, prepare rooms between patients, and maintain an organized treatment environment.
• Help ensure that necessary laboratory cases, materials, and instruments are available before scheduled procedures.
Front Desk & Patient Support
• Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional experience.
• Answer telephone calls and direct patient inquiries appropriately.
• Assist with appointment scheduling, confirmations, and patient check-in/check-out.
• Help maintain accurate patient records and administrative documentation.
• Coordinate communications concerning dental laboratory cases and patient appointments.
• Provide front-desk coverage during breaks, staff absences, or busy periods.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Assist with coordinating and overseeing assigned intern tasks, including tracking progress and communicating updates to the Operations Director.
• Support basic marketing and social media coordination as needed; familiarity with these activities is preferred.
Qualifications
Preferred Credentials
• Current New York State Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license preferred.
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) also welcomed.
• Demonstrated training and experience performing dental radiographs in compliance with New York State requirements.
Experience & Skills
• Previous dental assisting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, implant dentistry, or specialty dental practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with digital dental technology, intraoral scanning, and dental laboratory processes is desirable.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, terminology, materials, sterilization, and infection-control procedures.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Comfortable learning and using dental practice-management software.
• Willingness and ability to assist with front-desk and administrative responsibilities.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.
• Must have their own reliable transportation to ensure consistent, punctual attendance at our Staten Island practice.

Compensation & Schedule
Hourly Pay: $24.00–$30.00, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
