Work Environment

Working within our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center, you will collaborate closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff. Our facility fosters a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere where teamwork and communication are emphasized. You will benefit from a structured work schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical evaluations for residents, assessing their range of motion, strength, balance, and functional limitations to create tailored treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies with specific goals, integrating various modalities such as exercise regimes, manual therapy, and heat application.

• Facilitate engaging exercise sessions aimed at improving strength, flexibility, coordination, and pain management for enhanced mobility and quality of life.

• Educate patients on proper walking techniques and safe use of assistive devices such as canes and walkers, alongside strategies for fall prevention.

• Support residents in activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, personal hygiene, and transitions, striving for independent functionality.

• Instruct residents and their caregivers on effective home exercise programs and injury prevention techniques tailored to individual situations.

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The residents at our Rehabilitation Center primarily consist of older adults who often face conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, and neurological disorders, including dementia and Parkinson's disease. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in addressing the unique challenges these individuals encounter, providing therapeutic interventions that empower them to thrive.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license to practice in the state of Nevada.

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; higher degrees (Master's or Doctorate) preferred.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for patient care.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a clinical setting; experience in assisted living or rehabilitation facilities is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
