Lead Finance Solutions Architect

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Finance Solutions Architect to support a strategic, multi-year Finance Technology Transformation program for a leading global financial institution. This senior role will drive target-state business architecture across critical finance domains, including General Ledger, Financial Close, Data Substantiation, and Reconciliation.

The architect will translate strategic business goals into a cohesive, end-to-end technology blueprint as the organization modernizes its core finance platforms and moves toward Oracle SaaS. This opportunity offers significant influence across Finance, Technology, Front Office, and Operations within a complex, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Define the target-state business architecture for Accounting Engines, General Ledger, Financial Close, Data Substantiation, and Reconciliation.
• Ensure architecture and process designs align with strategic objectives, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze current-state finance processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation.
• Develop detailed business process models, functional designs, and data-flow diagrams that establish the future-state blueprint.
• Engage senior stakeholders across Finance, Front Office, Operations, and Technology to gather requirements and build consensus.
• Validate that the target architecture addresses critical business needs across a large, global organization.
• Translate business architecture into clear functional requirements for technology teams.
• Connect detailed process-design decisions to broader business outcomes and long-term transformation goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least six years of experience as a Business Architect, Process Architect, Solutions Architect, or equivalent strategic professional within financial services.
• Career progression from a technical discipline into business solutions, process architecture, or enterprise-level architecture.
• Deep functional knowledge of General Ledger, sub-ledger accounting, financial close, consolidation, data substantiation, and multi-system reconciliation.
• Experience modeling business capabilities and designing complex, end-to-end processes at scale.
• Strong understanding of financial data flows, data governance principles, financial controls, and reporting requirements.
• Experience working within a regulated, globally distributed financial services environment.
• Ability to develop functional designs, business process models, and data-flow documentation.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and explain complex business concepts to varied audiences.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to connect detailed process decisions to broader organizational objectives.
• Experience supporting Oracle SaaS or a comparable enterprise finance-platform transformation is highly relevant.
