Role Summary Leads the finance function across UNACEM North America, providing strategic direction over business and financial performance and analysis, corporate finance, and treasury activities. Serves as the Chief Financial Officer's key business partner, shaping decisions on financial performance, capital structure, and corporate transactions, while translating actual business results into executive level insights, forward-looking analysis, and management reporting that strengthen disciplined decision making and the long term financial health of the organization. Purpose Provide strategic leadership over the organization's financial and business performance and analysis, corporate finance, and treasury activities, translating actual business results, forecasts, and operational indicators into insights that drive executive decision making. Lead corporate finance and capital initiatives, establish financial direction on liquidity, capital structure, and treasury policy, and promote scalable reporting and process automation to sustain the long term strength of the organization. Key Responsibilities Direct the analysis and interpretation of actual business and financial performance across UNACEM North America, translating operational and financial results into executive level insights, recommendations, and management actions. Challenge operational and commercial leaders on performance drivers, margin behavior, and resource efficiency, supporting disciplined execution and accountability across the organization. Establish performance review mechanisms and management reporting standards that provide executive leadership with clear visibility into the financial and operational health of the organization. Lead the FP&A agenda across planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and business performance reviews, ensuring that financial projections are integrated with operational and commercial drivers. Develop executive reporting packages, dashboards, and decision support materials that provide the CFO, Executive Leadership, and Board with concise, actionable insights on performance, risks, opportunities, and required management actions. Identify, prioritize, and automate manual finance processes, reporting routines, and recurring analyses, improving accuracy, speed, and control while freeing finance teams to focus on higher value strategic decision support. Partner with Accounting, Operations, Commercial, IT, and Group Finance to improve data quality, reporting governance, and the use of systems and analytical tools for scalable financial planning and performance management. Provide strategic financial leadership over corporate finance initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing transactions, and other strategic capital decisions critical to the organization's growth and long-term value creation. Lead capital structure decisions and intercompany financial arrangements, ensuring alignment with the parent organization and supporting cross border financial activities. Manage foreign exchange and interest rate exposures through hedging strategies and treasury policies, ensuring exposures remain within approved tolerances and aligned with corporate financial guidelines. Direct treasury activities including cash management, liquidity, funding, and debt management, ensuring sufficient financial resources and optimal financing terms to support the operational and strategic priorities of the organization. Drive working capital strategy in partnership with operations, commercial, and accounting leadership, improving cash conversion and the efficient deployment of financial resources. Establish treasury and financial operations policies and controls that ensure sound stewardship of the organization's financial resources and compliance with corporate guidelines and regulatory expectations. Develop and deliver financial content for Executive Leadership and Board discussions, ensuring clear perspectives on business performance, corporate finance initiatives, and treasury position. Maintain relationships with banks, rating agencies, advisors, auditors, and key financial counterparties, representing the organization in financial markets and external forums. Develop a high performing finance team and promote a culture of financial discipline, strategic thinking, and data driven decision making throughout the organization. Support additional initiatives as required. Knowledge Strong knowledge of business and financial performance analysis, with the ability to translate complex financial and operational results into executive insights and strategic recommendations. Advanced understanding of corporate finance concepts including mergers and acquisitions, valuation, financing decisions, capital structure, and intercompany finance. Solid understanding of intercompany finance, cross border financial arrangements, and the financial relationships maintained with the parent organization. Strong knowledge of treasury management, including cash management, liquidity, funding instruments, and the hedging of foreign exchange and interest rate exposures. Knowledge of financial controls, policies, and the governance practices that ensure compliance and protect organizational assets. Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex financial information into executive decisions and strategic recommendations. Strong knowledge of FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis, scenario modeling, and KPI design. Solid understanding of reporting automation, data governance, and finance systems, with the ability to improve manual processes through structured workflows, analytical tools, and scalable reporting solutions. Problem Solving Diagnoses underlying drivers of business performance by integrating financial, operational, commercial, and market data into actionable insights. Identifies recurring manual activities, reporting bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies, then designs practical automation and process improvement solutions that strengthen decision making and reduce low value work. Builds forward-looking financial models, sensitivities, and scenarios that help leadership evaluate performance risks, capital allocation choices, and operational trade-offs. Evaluates the financial implications of strategic alternatives, transactions, and risk scenarios to support executive decision making. Develops financial strategies and structuring alternatives for capital, corporate finance, and treasury decisions under varying market and organizational conditions. Anticipates emerging financial risks and opportunities and recommends actions to address them across the organization. Balances short term financial discipline with long term organizational resilience, capital efficiency, and strategic priorities. Interaction & Influence Partners closely with the Chief Financial Officer and the executive team to align financial decisions with organizational priorities. Collaborates with functional leaders to convert financial analysis, forecasts, and operational KPIs into clear actions, ownership, and follow-up routines. Works with IT and business teams to promote automation, data driven reporting, and continuous improvement across finance processes. Influences executive decision making by providing financial insights, strategic recommendations, and clear perspectives on performance, risk, and capital. Challenges operational and commercial leaders on financial performance and accountability, supporting a culture of disciplined execution. Represents the organization in relationships with banks, rating agencies, advisors, auditors, and key financial counterparties. Represents the finance function in management meetings, executive forums, Board discussions, and Group initiatives related to financial matters. Indirect: Supports organizational growth, capital efficiency, financial resilience, and the successful execution of the strategic priorities defined by executive leadership. Experience & Education Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A postgraduate degree (such as an MBA or master's in finance) or professional certification (such as CFA or CTP) is desirable. Six to ten years of progressive experience in finance, corporate finance, treasury, or related disciplines, including experience leading finance functions within complex organizations, preferably in cement, building materials, mining, manufacturing, or industrial environments. Demonstrated experience leading business and financial performance analysis and providing executive level insights and recommendations to senior leadership and Board audiences. Demonstrated experience leading FP&A activities, including budget cycles, forecasts, executive reporting, KPI dashboards, and management performance routines. Experience identifying and automating manual finance, reporting, or planning processes through ERP, BI, Excel/Power Query, planning tools, or other analytical platforms. Experience leading or supporting corporate finance transactions including mergers, acquisitions, financings, capital structure decisions, and other strategic capital initiatives. Demonstrated experience leading treasury operations, including liquidity, funding, debt management, and the hedging of foreign exchange and interest rate exposures, at an organizational level. Experience leading and developing finance teams within complex, cross functional environments. Full professional proficiency in English; Spanish desirable.
