Operational Excellence - Sr. Manager
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc
Senior Manager leading operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives at a biopharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role involves deploying lean management practices, coaching cross-functional teams, and driving transformational change to enhance efficiency and business performance.
Responsibilities
- Deploy Practical Process Improvement business system and lean management practices across organizational functions
- Coach leaders and teams on continuous improvement methodologies to build problem-solving culture
- Facilitate high-impact improvement initiatives and streamline processes to eliminate waste
- Identify improvement opportunities, track metrics, and ensure sustainable business results in quality and productivity
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop capability and drive transformational organizational change
Requirements
- Advanced degree plus 6 years, or bachelor's degree plus 8 years lean leadership experience
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required
- Hands-on experience implementing continuous improvement in complex manufacturing or operations
- Demonstrated expertise in strategy deployment, value stream mapping, kaizen, and standard work
- Strong financial acumen to identify and quantify improvement opportunities
- Project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and lead change in matrix organizations
- Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences or medical devices preferred
