Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to care for patients during one of the most important experiences in their lives.

Shift Details

Length: 13 weeks
Type: Night shift (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
Hours per week: 36 hours
Every other holiday and every other weekend required

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery.
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, ensuring a safe delivery environment.
Cross-train to Mother/Baby care and potentially float to NICU for feeders and growers.
Collaborate with a team that includes certified nurse midwives and maternal-fetal medicine specialists for high-risk cases.
Utilize private labor rooms and triage beds to enhance patient comfort and care quality.

Requirements

Valid BLS and NRP certification.
Fetal monitoring skills are essential.
AWHONN Intermediate certification is required.
Ability to adapt to varying patient needs and environments.

Average annual deliveries: 2,000
Labor rooms: 8 private rooms
Triage beds: 4 private beds
OB operating rooms: 2
