Per Diem Chaplain/ Spiritual CaregiverAs the Per Diem Chaplain/ Spiritual Caregiver, you will provide spiritual care to Hospice patients and their families.Primary Responsibilities:Demonstrate proficiency in providing spiritual care to persons of all races, ages, genders, sexual orientation, social class, and mental/emotional statusDemonstrate ability for patient/caregiver to lead the spiritual conversation, for the Chaplain to walk alongside him/her in his/her spiritual journey and refraining from sharing one's own beliefs unless asked to do so by the patient/caregiversDemonstrate knowledge of a wide range of spiritual resources to support each person's belief system, provide resources as appropriate, and network with other religious leaders in the community to refer patients/caregivers to these leaders when necessaryDemonstrate ability to work efficiently and effectively within the Interdisciplinary Team and provide insight in the IDG meeting concerning the patient/caregiver's emotional and spiritual needsProvide spiritual and emotional care to members of the Hospice Staff when requestedYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Two units of Clinical Pastoral Education or Bachelor's degree in theology, divinity, pastoral care, philosophy, religion or related discipline2+ years of experience in a health care setting and/or related pastoral experienceDocumentation of current endorsement or acceptable language (licensing, ordination, etc.) in accordance with the applicant's spiritual/faith tradition. Faith groups must be recognized by the Armed Forces Chaplains BoardDocumentation that demonstrates that the candidate is in good standing with their spiritual/faith group with no ethical charges current or pendingCurrent driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportationPreferred Qualifications:Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education or Master's degree in theology, divinity, pastoral care, philosophy, religion or related disciplineCurrent CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire2+ years of Hospice experienceDemonstrated exceptional verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to plan, organize, and exercise independent judgementDemonstrated ability to minister to patients and families in crisisDemonstrated ability to be open, sensitive, flexible and ecumenicalPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $50,920 to $76,380 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
