Location

Atlanta Metropolitan Area. We prefer someone who can work primarily on-site with our Atlanta team, although hybrid flexibility may be available for the right candidate.

Note:

Candidates should have 3+ years of directly relevant litigation, arbitration, mediation, or dispute resolution experience, along with a J.D. and active U.S. bar admission. Experience with contract enforcement, commercial disputes, customer non-payment, fee recovery, and settlement negotiations is especially valuable. New York or Florida bar admission is strongly preferred, with both being a plus.

Job Description

• Lead disputes involving customer non-payment, contract enforcement, fee recovery, and commercial matters from initial escalation through resolution.
• Develop practical litigation and dispute resolution strategies that balance recovery, risk, cost, and business objectives.
• Handle arbitration, mediation, negotiation, and litigation matters while coordinating with outside counsel when needed.
• Draft demand letters, pleadings, settlement agreements, legal correspondence, and other dispute-related documents.
• Negotiate settlements designed to maximize recovery while controlling legal expense and exposure.
• Build and refine internal escalation, enforcement, collections, and dispute management processes.
• Track recovery results, matter timelines, legal spend, and other key performance metrics.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership on cash flow, collections, and risk management priorities.
• Expand internal legal capabilities and reduce unnecessary dependence on outside counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of relevant litigation, arbitration, mediation, or dispute resolution experience.
• Strong commercial litigation and contract enforcement experience preferred.
• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, research, and settlement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage disputes from initiation through resolution.
• Business-oriented approach with strong judgment and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple active matters in a fast-paced environment.
• New York or Florida bar admission preferred, with both being a strong plus.
• In-house, collections, financial services, SaaS, fintech, real estate, or professional services experience is a plus.
