Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney – Atlanta, GA

An Atlanta law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with approximately 2–4 years of experience to join its commercial litigation practice.

This opportunity is well suited for an attorney who wants to continue developing meaningful, hands‑on litigation experience while working closely with experienced attorneys. The associate will have exposure to sophisticated matters, client interaction, depositions, court proceedings, and increasing responsibility throughout the litigation process.

Responsibilities

The associate will participate in matters throughout the litigation lifecycle, including:

• Drafting pleadings, discovery, briefs, and substantive motions
• Conducting legal research and assisting with case strategy
• Taking and defending depositions
• Participating in hearings and other court proceedings
• Communicating with clients regarding active mattersManaging written discovery and document production
• Assisting with mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation
• Working collaboratively with partners and other members of the litigation team
• Assuming increasing responsibility for matters as experience develops

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Georgia
• Approximately 2–4 years of litigation experience
• Deposition and/or courtroom experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent judgment and professional communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines
• Collaborative and team‑oriented approach

Experience involving commercial litigation, business litigation, employment litigation, or complex civil litigation is preferred, although attorneys with transferable litigation experience are encouraged to apply.
