Recreation Director This position requires good management skills, tact, sensitivity and professionalism due to constant interaction with residents and families. Responsibilities of the Recreation Director: Develop approaches/interventions to meet the psychosocial needs of residents Establish rapport with Alzheimer’s/Dementia care residents and their families Develop and run programming ideas for residents Demonstrate knowledge and experience with residents having dementia and appropriate therapeutic/behavioral interventions Must be able to manage and work with a team Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect Must have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, creativity, patience, and energy Qualifications of the Recreation Director: 2 years Long-Terms Care experience CTRS or ADA certified Dementia Specialist or CDP preferred Familiar with long-term care regulation and survey process. Be able to facilitate group programs independently Positive attitude and energy Strong communication, interpersonal and written/reading skills Valid driver's license #J-18808-Ljbffr
