Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct an extensive range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Ensure patients feel comfortable and safe during procedures by explaining the process with kindness and clarity
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment while promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Thoroughly document procedures and manage patient records in the electronic medical system
• Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging technologies and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a relevant field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is advantageous

Certifications Needed

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferable

Skills Required

• Exceptional technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
