Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a broad range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety, clearly communicating each step of the process
• Work in close collaboration with radiologists and referring physicians to produce top-notch diagnostic images
• Safely operate and care for imaging equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of procedures in the electronic medical record
• Keep up to date with new technologies and practices in ultrasound imaging

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
