We are seeking an experienced Parts Associate to join our team. DealerTrack experience and prior dealership experience a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Receiving and processing all parts orders.
• Understanding and controlling of parts inventory.
• Creating bin locations for new stock.
• Notifying customer on parts arrival.
• Notifying of shortage & damage discrepancies.
• Counting accurately for parts inventory.
• Accurately reading part numbers.
• Processing accessory kits.
• Preparing items for returns and shipping.
• Accurately placing parts in assigned bin locations.
• Separating orders for retail/wholesale/online/shop.
• Delivering parts to wholesale customers.
• Processing warranty parts and returns.
• Keeping things in neat and orderly fashion.
• Accurately billing parts, including pricing, quantities, etc.
• Being able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Cleaning parts department areas, including mopping, sweeping, dusting, trash removal, cleaning entry doors, key machine, windows, shelves, etc.
• Being able to navigate parts diagrams.
• Assisting customers and businesses over the telephone.
• Being on time for work and maintaining strong work attendance.
• Ability to focus on job related tasks and be observant to department needs throughout the workday.
• Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks.
• Following department directives, including dress code and refrain from frequently leaving the parts department.
• Following all company safety policies and procedures.
• Understanding and following federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry.
• Ensuring accurate packaging of outbound parts orders and receipt of incoming parts.
• Filling, packaging and marking parts orders to meet delivery schedules; picking and packing orders for counter staff.
• Receiving ordered parts and checking items for damage, correct quantities, or back orders.
• Helping with stocking and posting orders upon arrival to expedite delivery.
• Assisting parts drivers in loading and unloading parts and reporting low inventory to Parts Manager.
• Pulling orders from printed packing slips for both customers and shop repair orders; handling core returns and helping with physical inventory counts.
• Loading and unloading stock merchandise.
• Maintaining parts and supplies inventories in an organized manner, rotating or shifting stock as needed.
• Preparing seasonal parts/accessories displays and warehouse shelves as directed.
• Ordering and shipping emergency parts from vendors to customers.
• Keeping and maintaining an organized and clean parts department.
• Staying up to date on sudden changes regarding the processes.
• Maintaining and organizing retail merchandise.
• Logging and recording warranty parts and allocating them in appropriate sections.
• Core return processing.
• Battery core relocation.
• Working well with other parts department staff and assisting others in the department with requested tasks.
• Embracing technological changes within the department.
• Learning, comprehending, and retaining educational information regarding the parts department, its processes, etc.
• Being a strong team player and putting the parts departments needs and success a top priority.
• Wholesale advertising and marketing calls.
• Bundling new car accessory packages, (floor mats, wheel locks, trunk trays, splash guards, plates, frames).
• Completing Honda training modules.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma
2. Parts experience (preferred)
3. Prior dealership experience (preferred)
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills (including spelling, punctuation, etc.)
5. Excellent customer service skills
6. Positive attitude is a MUST
7. Be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
8. Be able to multi-task
9. Assist retail customers and technicians
10. Possess the ability to learn and retain information
11. Be a team player
12. Must have a valid driver’s license
13. Maintain an organized, orderly and clean work environment
14. Ability to operate a forklift (preferred)
15. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
