Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Microbiology
$32.5 - $43 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for microbiology work at Ascension Saint Agnes in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instruments, quality control, and reporting test results in a high-volume production environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical procedures per protocol
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments for proper functionality
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
- Perform preventive maintenance and document quality control procedures
- Report accurate and timely test results and manage specimen processing as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
- Minimum one year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Compensation: $32.50-$43.00 per hour
