Corporate Staff Accountant

POSITION SNAPSHOT: CORPORATE STAFF ACCOUNTANT Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Direct Hire) Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312 (100% On-Site Hub) Target Salary Bracket: $60,000 – $70,000 / year (Based on experience) Industry Focus: Mid-Market Manufacturing, Supply Chain, & Product Logistics CORE RESPONSIBILITIES General Ledger Ownership: Take the lead on multi-entity general ledger management, ensuring seamless, accurate execution of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close cycles. Reconciliations & Variance Analysis: Oversee complex balance sheet, banking, and subledger reconciliations; perform standard budget-to-actual variance reviews and analyze key operational cost drivers. Inventory & Control Compliance: Partner directly with operations and warehouse divisions to maintain strict inventory asset integrity, monitor product costing data, and validate cycle count metrics against the GL. Audit & Reporting Support: Compile precise, audit-ready financial packages, support internal control schedules, and prepare comprehensive workpapers for external audit review. IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS & PROFILE Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Experience: 2 to 5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience. Must come out of a structured, product-driven environment (manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or supply chain) to ensure they match the required corporate caliber. Systems Fluency: Deep structural familiarity navigating multi-entity configurations and mid-to-enterprise tier ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, JD Edwards, or Sage). Technical Skills: Advanced capability with Microsoft Excel (e.g., PivotTables, data modeling, XLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH logic). Note: No small-business baseline bookkeeping profiles.
