Staff Accountant

A great client at UHY is seeking a Staff Accountant . The ideal candidate will have month-end accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and experience working in a shared services or corporate accounting environment. The Staff Accountant role is a hybrid position, with 3 days each week being onsite. This is a client direct hire position. Review accounts receivable, accounts payable, and trial balance activity for variances during month-end close Prepare and submit journal entries for review and approval Review journal entries and supporting documentation for accuracy Generate and reconcile intercompany balances across multiple business units Support month-end close activities and financial reporting processes Assist with SOX compliance, internal audits, and external audits Manage assigned projects and ensure timely completion Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered 2+ years of accounting, finance, or billing experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Advanced proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Outlook Understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a compliance-focused environment Experience reviewing contracts or financial agreements is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
