CT Technologist

Role Overview: The CT Technologist supports a variety of imaging services across multiple facilities within the region, delivering safe, high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. This position involves working in the Wellstar Diagnostic Float Team (WEST Team) and requires flexibility to serve at different locations. Key Responsibilities Perform CT exams following physician orders, protocols, and safety standards. Verify patient identity, obtain medical history, and screen for contraindications. Communicate procedures clearly with empathy using AIDET; assist with patient positioning and mobility. Establish IV access, administer contrast media, monitor for adverse reactions, and operate CT equipment safely. Optimize imaging techniques to ensure diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure. Evaluate images, recognize urgent findings, and collaborate with physicians as needed. Accurately document procedures, manage RIS/PACS, and perform quality control checks. Support daily operations, maintain equipment, and adhere to regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist experience, including CT. Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS (American Heart Association).
