Physical Therapist (PT) – PreK–2nd Grade

Location: Durham, NC
School Year: 2026–2027

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for a school-based contract position in Durham, North Carolina .

This opportunity involves supporting approximately 30–40 students in PreK through 2nd grade across multiple school locations. The district is open to both full-time and part-time candidates and is actively interviewing, making this a great opportunity for a PT looking to secure a school-based role quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct services to PreK–2nd grade students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals
• Support students with mobility, gross motor skills, positioning, and access to the school environment
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records
• Travel between assigned school sites as needed

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Physical Therapist (PT) license required
• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Employment Details

• Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week
• Part-Time: Candidates will also be considered

• Caseload: Approximately 30–40 students
• Location: Durham, NC
