Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 16-week contract at a large acute care teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and Siemens equipment experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital with 1,259 staffed beds
• MRI department with multiple Siemens scanners including the Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, and Vida models
• Inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient populations across various acuity levels
• Daily caseload of 100–150 scans per tech
• 3x12-hour day shifts, Monday through Wednesday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• One Saturday per month on an as-needed basis
• No on-call required
• May float within scope per facility policy; no floating to sister facilities
• Charting via Epic

Requirements

• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required at time of consideration
• Current BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
• Siemens MRI equipment experience required
• Missouri state license required; candidates submitting with a pending IL license should note this at time of consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Additional Information

• Preferred imaging skills include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, perfusion, peripheral MR, spectroscopy, spin echo images, surface coils, and T-1/T-2 weighted images
• Experience with at least two of the facility's current Siemens software platforms is preferred
• IV start skills and PACS experience preferred
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital, community hospital, NICU, and adult ICU settings preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Black scrubs required
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain for up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Monthly parking passes are available near the facility at varying rates depending on location
