The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected logistics and warehousing organization to find a highly organized and solutions-driven Dispatch Coordinator for their fast-paced operations team in South San Francisco. This role is about precision, coordination, and delivering exceptional service every step of the way.

The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely movement of goods by coordinating shipments, communicating with drivers, clients, and internal teams, and resolving logistical issues as they arise. This role plays a key part in keeping deliveries on schedule, optimizing routes, and maintaining compliance with safety and transportation standards.

The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills are essential. By managing dispatch operations efficiently, this position directly supports operational success and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate daily dispatchoperations by scheduling and assigning shipments based on driveravailability, routes, and delivery requirements
• Communicate with drivers throughoutthe day to monitor shipment progress, address delays and resolve issuesquickly
• Partner with warehouse and customerservice teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
• Track shipment activity, prepareand maintain accurate dispatch records and reports
• Troubleshoot logistical challengesincluding delays, route changes, and equipment issues, vehicle breakdownspromptly and efficiently
• Ensure compliance withtransportation regulations, safety standards, and company procedures
• Support operational improvementsand assist in onboarding and training new team members

What We Are Looking For

• Strong organizational and communication skillswith the ability to coordinate multiple shipments and collaborateeffectively with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers
• Proven problem-solving abilities to quicklyresolve delays, equipment issues, and other operational challenges in afast-paced environment
• Experience in dispatching,logistics, transportation, or warehouse coordination
• Comfortable working with dispatchsoftware, transportation systems, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to remain calm andadaptable in a fast-moving environment
• Customer-focused mindset withstrong attention to detail
• Analytical skills with the ability to evaluateperformance data, identify operational improvements, and drive moreefficient service delivery
• Proficiency in dispatch software andtransportation management systems for efficient route scheduling andreal-time shipment tracking

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in dispatchcoordination or logistics operations
• Knowledge of transportationregulations and safety standards
• Proficiency with dispatch systemsand Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree inLogistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Experience with TransportationManagement Systems (TMS) and route optimization tools
• Familiarity with warehouseoperations and inventory management
• Data analysis or reportingexperience
• Customer service experience in alogistics environment
