Controller - Multifamily Property Accounting

Property Accounting Manager
Manage property accounting team, month end close, financial statement reviews, monthly reporting package and bank covenants
Streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting
Supervise regional controllers
Troubleshoot escalated issues; ensure customer requests are handled timely, accurately, and with exemplary service
Facilitate information and data flow between accounting, property management, and asset management
Perform audit responsibilities for external financial audits
Assist in new property onboarding and dispositions
Participate in the execution of strategic initiatives
Utilize strong GAAP knowledge to assess appropriateness of complex accounting transactions
Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor's degree in accounting a MUST; CPA (anywhere in US)
Technology savvy with proficiency in Excel, Yardi and/or MRI
10+ years of property accounting experience with 5+ years managing 5+ employees
Team spirited, collaborative, strong leader, and great mentor; work well under pressure
Organized, self-starter, multi-tasker, and resourceful; strategic, analytical, and a problem-solver
Analyze data and quick on feet; strong technical accounting knowledge
High integrity and commitment to exemplary customer service
