TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Topeka, Kansas, 66604!

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical – Kansas

Start Date: October 19, 2026 (additional orientation dates available bi-weekly)

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week, every other weekend rotation, holiday rotation required (2 federal holidays per year, plus spring and winter non-essential holidays; may request 1 holiday off)

Highlights:

• 32-bed post-surgical unit specializing in colorectal surgery, major abdominal procedures (colectomy, bowel resection, ostomy, hernia repair), urological procedures, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, and specialty wound care
• Staffing ratio of 1:6 providing manageable patient loads
• Epic charting system with test-out option available
• Contract length of 26-51 weeks preferred; longer contracts receive priority consideration
• Float to other post-surgical and med-surg inpatient floors as needed
• Work within a Magnet-designated facility recognized for nursing excellence and committed to High Reliability Organization culture

Requirements:

• Active Kansas or Multistate RN license (no exceptions for background issues)
• AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
• ADN or BSN degree
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience required; progressive care or step-down experience is a plus
• Immunity documentation for Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella (titer or vaccination series), TDaP vaccine, TB documentation, and Influenza vaccine or exemption during flu season
• Previous travel experience required (not suitable for first-time travelers)
• Availability for true interview times must be provided at submission
