Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rapidly growing mail order compounding pharmacy is seeking five contract-to-hire Staff Pharmacists to support a new client agreement. This role offers an excellent gateway for retail pharmacists to transition into a closed-door, high-volume mail order environment, dispensing generic, brand, and some specialty medications to all 50 states and DC. The contract is 13 weeks with strong potential for direct hire based on performance and experience.
Location: Florence, KY
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Rotating shift start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM
- Saturday rotation on a scheduled basis with advance notice
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and check high-volume prescription fulfillment with accuracy and efficiency
- Oversee pharmacy technician activities to ensure seamless operations
- Respond to provider and patient inquiries as needed, maintaining professional communication
- Adapt quickly to evolving workflows and maintain excellent teamwork to manage workload peaks
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Kentucky pharmacist license in-hand and active
- Prior mail-order pharmacy experience highly preferred; retail pharmacists with strong fundamentals are also encouraged to apply
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
