Step into a meaningful role supporting students with diverse learning needs in an engaging, collaborative school setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide direct and indirect special education services to approximately 23 students, including one student acquiring Braille skills. Your impact will be felt across the academic year, culminating in May 2027, as you help students achieve their individualized goals without the added responsibility of case management.

Desired Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid, active Tennessee Educator License issued through TNCompass
• Eligible licensure: Practitioner License (initial 3-year standard or alternative/job-embedded pathway) or Professional License (standard 6-year advanced)
• At least one of the following mandatory TDOE Special Education endorsements:
  • Special Education Interventionist (K-8): mild-to-moderate disabilities
  • Special Education Interventionist (6-12): mild-to-moderate secondary education
  • Special Education Comprehensive (K-12): complex, profound, or multiple disabilities
  • Special Education Early Childhood (Pre-K-3): early intervention

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect special education minutes as specified for each student on your caseload
• Collaborate with faculty and specialists to implement individualized strategies and accommodations
• Adapt instruction and materials as needed, including supporting a student in learning Braille
• Maintain thorough documentation of services and student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide updates to staff as required

This position provides a structured weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, offering stability for the duration of the assignment. You’ll experience an inclusive work environment alongside dedicated professionals.
