Event Coordinator Contract position (4–6 months) working hybrid in Washington, DC, Monday‑Friday 9:00AM–5:00PM. Hourly pay ranges from $21 to $24, depending on experience. About the Organization A mission‑driven nonprofit association based in Washington, DC, seeking an enthusiastic Event Coordinator to contribute to high‑visibility events and meetings. Position Overview The role involves planning, managing, and executing a variety of events and meetings—everything from understanding event‑specific needs and developing supporting materials to communicating with speakers and VIP attendees. Responsibilities Support the planning and execution of events and meetings in a way that reflects the organization’s mission and goals. Assess and implement the unique requirements of each event or meeting from start to finish. Develop content for event materials and work closely with design teams to bring those materials to life. Draft and send confirmation letters and other correspondence to speakers and VIP guests attending regional meetings. Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in event coordination, administrative support, or project assistance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Salesforce and Cvent is a plus. Self‑motivated with strong organizational abilities, a confident communication style, and a can‑do attitude. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
