• Office-based position in Monroe, North Carolina, with regular collaboration between project management, engineering, refrigeration, and field construction teams.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Lead the electrical design, planning, scheduling, coordination, execution, and closeout of assigned construction projects.
• Coordinate electrical designs and construction activities with refrigeration project managers, field leaders, engineers, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Establish project budgets and approve labor, material, and operational budgets when required.
• Track project costs, commitments, billing, labor utilization, and financial performance from the initial planning phase through completion.
• Manage the overall financial outcome of assigned projects while identifying opportunities to control costs and improve profitability.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, diagrams, proposals, contracts, and other project documentation.
• Provide electrical layout, design coordination, constructability input, and engineering support.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, reports, correspondence, documentation, billing records, and control files.
• Complete project control-point and startup checklists to identify critical construction and commissioning requirements.
• Conduct regular job-site visits to evaluate progress, coordinate labor and materials, and address field-related challenges.
• Communicate project priorities, milestones, risks, and progress to electrical superintendents, refrigeration project managers, clients, and leadership.
• Prepare estimates and develop, price, negotiate, and track project change orders.
• Review invoices, estimates, schedules, cost reports, and other project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Lead project meetings, scheduling discussions, subcontractor coordination sessions, and internal planning activities.
• Supervise electrical superintendents assigned to projects and provide leadership to project management personnel when required.
• Monitor workmanship, reinforce quality expectations, and help improve project execution standards.
• Promote safe work practices and actively participate in all required safety activities.
• Develop productive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and internal business partners.
• Serve as a professional company representative during client meetings, site visits, and business development activities.
• Support client managers and business development personnel with estimating, relationship management, and opportunity-development activities.
• Manage multiple active projects while meeting deadlines, financial targets, safety expectations, and customer commitments.

Do You Bring Proven Success in Electrical Construction Project Leadership?

• At least 10 years of project management experience within the electrical, commercial construction, or industrial construction industry.
• Demonstrated experience managing electrical construction projects through planning, estimating, procurement, field execution, commissioning, and closeout.
• Proven electrical estimating experience, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and change-order development.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems, equipment, installation practices, and applicable safety standards.
• Experience managing project budgets, cost forecasts, billing, schedules, documentation, and overall financial performance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, specifications, proposals, contracts, and construction documents.
• Experience supervising electrical superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, or other project management professionals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant construction experience will also be considered.
• Experience coordinating electrical work with refrigeration, mechanical, building, or civil construction teams is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, project management platforms, and electrical estimating tools.
• Experience with ConEst is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, delegation, coaching, and team-management abilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and customer-facing communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Commercial judgment and the ability to make sound decisions involving cost, schedule, manpower, quality, and client expectations.
• Business development aptitude and the ability to build lasting customer and subcontractor relationships.
• Self-directed, accountable, and willing to take ownership of assignments through completion.
• Comfortable working closely with office personnel, field supervisors, skilled tradespeople, refrigeration superintendents, and senior leadership.
• Ability to travel approximately 20% to job sites throughout the United States.
• Ability to perform required site activities, including prolonged standing and walking, climbing stairs and ladders, accessing rooftops, kneeling, and carrying up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during site visits, travel, critical project phases, or other operational requirements.
