Job Description:

- Position : Emergency Department (ED) RN
- Shift : 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM (12-hour shifts with block scheduling opportunities)
- Unit : 64-bed Emergency Department
- 2 Triage beds
- 40 Acute Care beds
- 6 Super Track beds
- 2 Trauma beds
- 10 Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) beds
- 6 Psych beds
- Patient Demographics : Care for Newborns, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics
- Common Patient Diagnoses :
- Stroke
- Sepsis
- Trauma
- Myocardial Infarction (MI)
- Cardiac Arrest
- Respiratory Failure
- Specialty Equipment : Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
- Charge Capability : Highly Preferred
- Floating : Required to ensure patient care needs are met
- Scrub Color : Navy Blue
- Required Skills & Experience :
- 2+ years of ED nursing experience with pediatric exposure
- Travel experience is essential
- Up-to-date CPR certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
- Active NY Nursing License (NURSYS license verification required)
- EMR Experience: EPIC
- Skills checklist matching specialty
- Drivers license with matching address
- Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours weekly
- Contract Length : 89 weeks
- Required Drips & Medications :
- Pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine)
- Vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG)
- Anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine)
- Sedatives (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, TNK, Heparin, Insulin)
